I feel like people have left bad reviews because the wait does get a bit frustrating when you're hungry. But I was able to put myself on a waitlist (on here) & was able to just wait the max 10-15 min.
The prices did go up FYI I came on 10/14/19.
They were kind to inform you and not be shady and let you figure it out. The staff was nice & attractive. I have gone to almost all of them in the SGV but nothing crazy or amazing about here. The seating is a bit odd and bland but anyways. Foods always good. If you haven't tried the sausage, gotta do it. You'll thank me later ha -

OMG, as I think about what to type for this review my mouth is watering...
I ABSOLUTELY love boiling crab! I love shrimp in general, but boiling crabs' seasoning is the cherry on top. I come here at least once a week with my boyfriend, family, coworkers or friends.
I go back and forth from the this location to the one in Rosemead. I get excellent service at both, however; the Rosemead location is much spacious compared to the Alhambra one.
I always tend to order a pound of shrimp, half a pound of sausage, a basket of fries and a Michelada depending the day I'm having. I cannot wait to go back next week! -

A bit disappointed! We've been going to boiling crab for years. Showing up at all sorts of locations weathering all sorts of obscenely long wait time. But the food is always good so it makes it all worth it. The Alhambra location seems to have undergone some sort of change recently. The menu is changed, things are slightly more expensive. They have cut the amount of sauces that come with the seafood bags, and began charging if you want extra sauces and condiments. Service also seems to have slowed down a lot. They dropped our order of fries - I think they might be short staffed. The staff is still as welcome and helpful as ever. The flavors are still good. I just hope boiling crab isnt on a decline and that my experience this time was just an anomaly!

We waited 45+mins for a table. We got a whole bunch of shrimp at different levels of Cajun spices to share amongst nine people. The food itself was really good--I loved the medium Cajun spice. This was also my first experience eating this style of seafood so I really enjoyed it. The fries were also amazingly crunchy and fresh! However, I am giving Boiling Crab 4 stars instead of 5 because the attitude we received from our server when she was taking orders was just unignorable. I understand that the restaurant was very busy and she was probably a little bit stressed but the eye-rolls and attitude did not need to be projected onto us. Overall, a good restaurant for a yummy hands-on seafood experience!
